8  . A.C. PIPES

The PH & ME department banned the usage of RCC & AC pipes for water supply works vide Memo no 146/T2/SoR/2014-15/2014 dated 30.06.2014. However ENC (RWS) requested in the SoR  meeting  on  06.05.2015  to  incorporate  A.C  pipes  rates  in  SoR  for  carrying  out  O&Mworks, accordingly the following rates are adopted.

  1. The above rates of AC Pipes are based on the Cement cost of Rs. 5500/- per MT (excluding all taxes but including frieght).
2. The above rates of AC pipes are based on the Fiber cost of Rs.78,500/- per M.T (excluding all taxes but including frieght)
For any Increase/ Decrease in the rate of cement, the price of AC pipe per Rmt shall be increased/decreased as under.
W x 0.85 x IC   Where W = Weight of pipe in Kg’s/Rmt IC = Increase/Decrease in cost of cement/Kg
For any increase/decrease in the rate of fiber, the price of AC pipe per Rmt shall be increased/Decreased as under :
W x 0.15 X IF   Where :  W=: Weight of pipe in Kg’s/Rmt
IF = Increase /Decrease in cost of fiber/Kg
Note: 1) The Fiber rates are to be obtained from A.C. Pipe manufacturer of “Mazza” process.
2) The cement rate shall be communicated by the sub-committee of Board of Chief engineers.
3)The taxes as applicable shall be added as per rules at the time of  preparation of
estimate
2 Transportation of AC pressure pipes at site of work anywhere in Telangana State on motor able roads for full truck loads including transit insurance, unloading, and stacking at site of work etc.
Complete (AC Couplings and Rubber rings are to be supplied free of
transportation charges).
5% on the basic cost of corresponding AC Pressure
pipes.

For any Increase/ Decrease in the rate of cement, the price of AC Coupling per Each shall be increased/decreased as under.

The rates may be revised depending upon the increase/decrease in the cost of HT wire  and cement. as per the following method. The cost of HT wire may be obtained from reputed firms like SAIL/TATA/ SS Ltd. etc.,                                                                                                                             Revised Cost =Cost as per the above table +R1+R2.
R1= Variation (increase / decrease ) in cost (Rs. per metre )due to change in the cost of HT Wire =(H2-H1)/1000 X Wh.                                            R2= Variation (increase / decrease ) in cost (Rs. per metre )due to change in the cost of Cement =(C2-C1)/1000 X Wc.                                                H1 = Rs. 57500/-  H2 = Cost of HT Wire (Rs.
