4.2

Lime Stabilisation for Improving Subgrade

Laying and spreading available soil in the subgrade on a prepared surface, pulverising, as per requirement of Table 400-3 mixing the spread soil in place with rotavator with 3 % slaked lime having minimum content of 70% of CaO, grading with motor grader and compacting with the road roller at OMC to the desired density to form a layer of improved sub grade as per clause 402 of specification.

4.3

Lime Treated Soil for Sub-Base

Providing, laying and spreading soil on a prepared sub grade, pulverising, as per requirement of Table 400-3 mixing the spread soil in place with rotavator with 4 % slaked lime with minimum content of 70% of CaO, to achieve CBR>30 grading with motor grader and compacting with the road roller at OMC to achieve at least 98%of the max dry density to form a layer of sub base as per clause 402 of specification.

4.4

Cement Treated Soil Sub Base/ Base

Providing, laying and spreading soil on a prepared sub grade, pulverising, adding the designed quantity of cement to the spread soil, mixing in place with rotavator, grading with the motor grader and compacting with the road roller at OMC to achieve the desired unconfined compressive strength and to form a layer of sub-base/base as per clause 403 of specification.

4.6

Lime, Fly ash stabalised soil sub-base

Construction of Sub-base using lime -fly ash admixture with granular soil, free from organic matter/ deleterious material or clayey silts and low plasticity clays having PI between 5 and 20 and liquid limit less than 25 and commercial dry lime, slaked at site or pre-slaked with CaO content not less than 50%, fly ash toconform to gradation as per clause 4.3 of IRC: 88-1984, lime + fly ash content ranging between 10 to 30%, the minimum unconfined compressive strength and CBR value after 28 days curing and 4 days soaking to be 7.5kg/sq, cm and 25% respectively, all as specified in IRC: 88-1984.

4.8

Water Bound Macadam

Providing, laying, spreading and compacting stone aggregates of specific sizes to water bound macadam specification including spreading in uniform thickness, hand packing, rolling with vibratory roller 8-10 tonnes in stages to proper grade and camber, applying and brooming requisite type of screening/ binding Materials to fill up the interstices of coarse aggregate, watering and compacting to the required density as per clause 404 of specification.

4.10

Crushed Cement Concrete Sub-base / Base

Breaking and crushing of material obtained by breaking damaged cement concrete slabs to size range not exceeding 75 mm as specified in table 400-9 transporting the aggregates obtained from breaking of cement concrete slabs at a lead of 1.0 km., laying and compacting the same as sub base/ base course, constructed as per clause 405 of specification.

Wet Mix Macadam

Providing, laying, spreading and compacting graded stone aggregate to wet mix macadam specification including premixing the Material with water at OMC in mechanical mix plant carriage of mixed Material by tipper to site, laying in uniform layers with paver in sub-base / base course on well prepared surface and compacting with vibratory roller to achieve the desired density in accordance to Table No. 400-12, 400-13 and as per clause of section 406 of specifications.
